The trout fishing at Pardee Reservoir has been fantastic with shoreline anglers getting the best action. Easy limits was the rule in the 13” to 14” rainbow trout. The best baits providing the best action were PowerBait, Power Eggs, Pistol Pete lures, nightcrawlers and salmon eggs for a mixture of holdover rainbows.The big fish of the week weighed in at 8 pounds. Trollers had success using hot steel Rapalas near the surface and with hooch’s tipped with white corn in 25 feet of water. Information: (209) 772-1472.

Bass fishing has been steadily improving since last week, as the warmer water temps have the fish moving shallow and towards the backs of coves. Small swimbaits, rip baits, flukes, serkos, and drop shotted worms all worked for 1-2 lb. Largemouth in as little as 1" of water. Bluegill and Crappie begining to show in the back of Baona and Kimball on small shiners, red worms, and nightcrawlers. Catfish action seemed to have slowed a bit since the pervious week......
