On February 15th we added 4,000 lbs of beautiful Rainbow Trout to our lake. These fish are from Mt. Lassan and range in size from 2 lbs to almost 9 lbs. They have been catching off shore with Night Crawlers and on the lake trolling with split Rapala CD-3's. We will be getting another 4,000 lb. drop this month and another in early April in anticipation of our 23rd Annual Trout Derby! Please call for info!
Cachuma Bay and Johnson have been good spots for trolling Large and Small Mouth Bass. Catfish are still biting on anything and have been coming in around 3 lbs. Carp are here and very fun to catch if you know the secrets!

Bass, Trout, and Catfish seems to be the most common catch! Crappie are finally showing up! The lake saw 3 beautiful Crappie, caught at approximately 3 lbs each. Not much has changed here at Cachuma Lake for fishing since the last fishing report. Side note: Shore fishing has been slow, so if possible, rent a boat for better catch results. All fishign this week has been slow due to weather changes. ......
