The East is running at about 165 cfs right now, with the great water situation we’re having right now this could potentially change daily this time of the year. For now though, this is a great flow to be on the water! The fishing has been very good on both the California and Nevada sides of the river this past week. Most of the action is nymphing with small midge patterns but we have had one or two reports on streamers and we did talk to one angler who saw some nice fish rising on the Nevada side though he was not prepared to fish dries. There are still lots of rainbows in the river but the browns have been making a pretty good showing this past week as well. Most anglers are reporting that the fish are extremely subtle in their takes so you really need to be on top of your indicator game!
