I haven’t heard much from up on Lake Mohave as of yet however we expect that to change here soon. I have been getting reports of some fish boils so that being said the lake should also be a hot spot. The Largemouth Bass are protecting their nests so a good time to practice catch and release so they can keep guard of their young. The same goes for the trout as far as catch and release for the trout as they are feeding on the caddis fly and doing a great job. This is a call to catch the stripers so the trout have a chance to go after the bugs the caddis fly the black fly and the midge. don’t get me wrong its ok to eat the trout. With that being said they seem to be getting a red or pink color to their meat. Our cold water and their diet help this along. Its been mostly power bait and night crawlers that have been working the best on landing our trout.
We will be getting some more trout plants but not of the quality that our hatchery has brought us. Hope this helps and thanks for your Support Now Go Catch A Fish
