BASS:
Tyler Brownell age 15 from Coronado caught a 8lb.8oz. Bass out of lake #7 on a swimbait.
Lhong Veng of San Diego caught a 7lb.11oz. Bass out of lake #4 on a plastic worm followed by a 5lb.8oz. Bass.
Matt Neigh Menzel age 14 of El Cajon caught his limit of Bas and Bluegill out of lakes #4 and #5.

CATFISH:
Manny Roybol and grandson Isaiah age 6 caught 3 Catfish out of lake #4 with a total weight of 7 lbs.
James Sturkey of San Diego caught 4 Catfish out of lake #3 on nightcrawlers and stinkbait.
The second annual "Santee Firefighters Free Catfish Derby" was held on Saturday with over 400 kid's in attendance. The event was a huge success with limits of Catfish caught from lake #3 and #4. The largest Catfish weighed in at 6lbs.12oz. The lakes were double stocked with Catifish which should provide for some excellent fishing for weeks to come.

BLUEGILL:
Vince Shamoun of Spring Valley caught his limit of Bluegill out of lake #5 on mealworms.

** No California State Fishing License required to fish at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.

Adult (ages 16 and over) $8.00 per day
Junior (ages 7 to 15) $5.00 per day
Second fishing pole stamp $3.00
*One child under 7 may fish for free with a paid adult
