http://www.rbbassfishing.netCovering only 1750 acres, And with a horsepower limit of 10Hp, This small lake doesn’t receive the pressure that a lot of other lakes in the area receive.
As we launched the boat shortly after sunup, the Yamaha Outboard stayed in the trailer position as this was going to be a trolling motor only trip.
With water temps in the mid 80’s we hoped for a good topwater bite, however we soon realized that wasn’t going to happen as nothing was interested in our Baits. With a plenty of hydrilla and lay downs we switched to Jigs and Craws along the laydowns and weed lines. Limited by not having the big motor, we worked the shoreline from point to point. It was apparent that the bass were set up on the points, and a run and gun strategy would have been the way to go, but with only a trolling motor to pull us around that wasn’t going to happen.
We caught bass on just about every point we fished using Jigs, Dropshot and craw Baits. All in all another fun fishing day with over a dozen decent bass caught, but it leaves you wondering what could happen if there wasn’t a horsepower restriction.

We targeted shallow water flats 3-6ft at a high tide. We looked for post spawn and spawning fish that are holding on......
