Bobby Yoshihiro's sudden passing last year was a shock to everybody who knew him and he is greatly missed here at SFR. The Thunderbird is back in the water at LA Harbor Sportfishing and online to run nightly overnight trips to the Islands and offshore. We were all excited to jump on board and seen what we could catch out of the waters around Catalina Island. We settled down on the backside of the Island after tanking up with live squid in hopes the WSB would make an appearance. We fished hard through the morning for a few batrays, 2 legal halibut and one nice 25 lb white seabass. We spent the rest of the day anchoring around the kelp lines catching calicos, bonito, and a few miscellaneous fish. The weather was awesome and everyone had a great time. Thanks again to the entire crew of the Thunderbird for an outstanding trip and Seaguar Flurocarbon for providing prizes for the raffle. Always appreciated!!
