Windy conditions slowed the action down this past week. Water levels remain good, but sunny days are stimulating the seasonal growth of aquatic vegetation that occurs each summer. This can sometimes be a challenge for anglers fishing from the shoreline and along any of the dams.

The bass bite slowed just a bit this past week, with lots of fish schooled up, and chasing bait out in open water. There is still a lot of action on drop shot plastics in 20' to 30' of water just about anywhere you want to fish. Bluegill are still biting for those targeting them, although the quality has diminished as the average fish is only about 0.33 of a pound. Mealworms, and red worms fished under a bobber at......
