http://www.ebparks.orgGENERAL CONDITIONS
The weather out at Del Valle has cleared up immensely with our water temperature still hovering around the low-70s, making it perfect weather to fish for striped bass.
The bluegill and sunfish bite has been coming out a lot more. They are hiding under logs or by fallen trees.
CATFISH
The catfish bite has slowed down a bit, but can still be found in the muddy water or by a structure where they can hide and nest up. A good bait to use for them is chicken liver or mackerel if you are ready for a large one! Throw large search baits by rock walls or fallen trees is another good way to hook into a nice catfish!
TROUT
The trout are still in the deep water but keeping out a Powerbait rod just in case never hurts! Garlic scent has been their favorite this summer.
BASS
The small and largemouth bass have been picking up in intensity in the last week with pencil poppers and sub-surface jerk baits. Our regular anglers are also having luck trolling quarter ounce Panther Martin spinners in about 10-15 feet of water.
STRIPED BASS
Striped Bass are being caught mostly on anchovies or sardines for bait. The boils have been spotted out towards the dam in deeper water but most anglers are having a hard time dialing in exactly where they are going to be.
