East Walker River                                                                                                                                                                  The East is running at about 150 cfs right now and is still fishing pretty well. The water is pretty green from the algae in the reservoir but the fish are still healthy and eating well. Caddis nymphs and small nymphs are still doing well, but the streamer action is on the rise, also, crawdad patterns are doing well. There are still fish hanging out in the riffle water but with the cooler water temps some fish are starting to move back into the deeper pools. We did get one report on some good dry/dropper action but this was an isolated report so this may not be too consistant.

Sceirine Ranch                                                                                                                                                                      The ranch is still fishing excellent, lots of fish in the 16 to 20 inch range are being caught down there right now. It seems the fishing is pretty consistant throughout the day, the cooler weather is no doubt helping out the mid day bite. Nymphs, dead drift crayfish, great basin drifters and san juan worms have all been doing great down there. We’re getting quite a few bookings for the ranch right now so try to call ahead if you can to book some time.

Hunewill Pond                                                                                                                                                                       The pond has weeded up quite a bit lately so it’s made the fishing a bit tough. We did have some clients out this week who did have some success with leech patterns and damsel patterns but it was pretty tough to get through the weeds. As the weather cools the weeds should start to go away so hopefully within the next few weeks it will shape back up and be back on track!

Bridgeport Reservoir
The reservoir is getting better and better each day lately with some anglers reporting 20 fish days. We did have a few very windy days this week so that kept anglers off the water but as long as the wind doesn’t blow too hard the fishing should be good. The shore fishing hasn’t picked up yet but hopefully within the next 2 or 3 weeks the fish should spread out enough for this to get better. Bait anglers are fishing the channels and off of Rainbow Point and doing the best with night crawlers, mice tails, pinched crawlers and power bait are also working. Trolling has been good with crawlers, needlefish and Rapalas. Fly anglers are doing the best stripping streamers and crawdad patterns in the channels.

Twin Lakes
The Twins are holding their own with some nice fish coming in. It seems that the fly and bait fishing have been the best lately and as the water temps drop the trolling should pick up again. Bait anglers are using mice tails and inflated crawlers and fly anglers are having success with streamers like matukas, simi seal leeches, seal buggers, zug bugs and soft hackles.
West Walker River
The West is fishing pretty well up in the Pickle Meadows area, the section of the West in the canyon where the burn was is still closed but as long as you’re outside of the burn area you are allowed to stop and fish. Bait anglers are using eggs and mini crawlers, lure anglers are doing well in the mornings and evenings with panther martins and rooster tails. Fly anglers are having success with small buggers and attractor nymphs in the mornings and as the day warms up you can still fish hoppers and dry/dropper rigs.

Virginia Lakes                                                                                                                      The Virginias are doing the best for anglers who are able to get away from the shore a little bit with tubes or kayaks, the shore anglers are getting into some fish but not quite as many as the tubers. Pinched crawlers, night crawlers and mice tails are all doing well, fly anglers are doing well with streamers like matukas and seal buggers with soft hackle droppers. We also had a couple reports of fly anglers slow stripping squirmy wormy’s and killing it! Lure anglers should have some success throwing kastmasters and thomas bouyants in the mornings and evenings.
