There is still a lot of bass schooled up and chasing silversides in open water, but they’ve been more catchable as of late as most guys are picking off a few top water fish. The drop shot bite has been holding up as well, with 4” worms fished in 20’ to 40’ of water getting it done. The panfish bite slowed, as there was only scattered reports of bluegill, most of these fish on the small side.

Bass action kicked up a notch by the end of the week, as the adult silversides finally have showed up in numbers on the surface. The evening bite Sunday was almost as good as it gets for the handful of anglers on the water. Most guys reported as many as 20 fish each in the last couple of hours on drop shotted Robo worms.
