The south fork of the Mokelumne River continues to be the most productive river system in the area. Anglers continue to use spinners and jigs on the south fork and the main Mokelumne rivers below the Interstate Five Bridge where they continue to nail Chinooks in the 10 to 35 pound range. The Striped Bass fishing remains stable out on the California Delta waterways where recently several larger fish were caught weighing up to 30 pounds. Most of the striper action is taking place on the Sacramento River’s West Bank, Decker Island, Sherman Island and Broad Slough.
