http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=537The weather this week has been wonderful! With temperatures in the mid-80's with a small breeze throughout the week keeping the lake at a desirable temperature for an afternoon visit. Catfish have been biting on chicken liver and night crawlers all around the lake. Stripped Bass That have been caught are good size ranging from 20 inches and aboce and anything greater than 3 pounds. The trout fishing jas not come to an end but they are staying in depths of 35-45 feet down. Heavy weights or down riggers is the best way to reach these tasty fish. There have been a few monster trout to come out recently but for those who like the smaller pan-size trout, you are still in luck. Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been caught all over the lake in the weeds using rubber worms and night crawlers.

Great weather great fishing and the catching has been good to. Come wet your line with a little bait and worms, fishing at the dam and dropping your line between 20 and 30 feet has been bringing so nice limits of trout. Catfish are on the bite eating just about everything, anchovies, nightcrawlers and livers- all are prime. Plastic bait worms have been working for the smallmouth bass while the 4-inch Berkley power worms are enticing the largemouth bass.......

If you head out on the water with chicken liver you will keep pulling in the stripers and catfish. Fishing along the shoreline around the lake will continue to keep you satisfied. Do not be scared to go big with the bait. Go big and go home with the big one. The dam has been pretty constant when fishing for trout. The fish will practically jump into your boat when you see them boiling. ......
