Davis Dam, Lake Mohave, Topock Marsh Report

Rusty

Report Date:

Our striper bite here along the Colorado river is still a bit spotty with some action around the casino area and near the Davis Dam.  Both anchovies and your hard baits have a good chance to bring in a fish or two.  Up on Lake Mohave I have heard of some striper activity above the power lines. The striper bite should be picking up near the Davis dam soon. The topock marsh area should be opening up soon as the management team in that area has been doing some feral pig removal.  I have heard that this management team have determined that these feral pigs might not be fit for humane consumption and that is why our hunters are not allowed to participate in the harvest of these critters that don’t belong in this area.  Once this is past and the helicopters are gone they will let anglers back in.  We should be warming up soon and able to get back out there to enjoy our fishing and river opportunities.
