American Angler

We left the dock with high expectations that the fish were changing their attitude as far as biting is concerned. With the choice of fish showing up in a few different areas we thought we would go the distance on our first day. It sure looked good on paper and we found lots of big spots of fish but we just could not coax them to bite. Mackerel, sardines, jigs and anchovies all were going over the side when we stopped but there was no hot ticket. We did catch some small yellows and a few handfulls of tuna but we always hope for more. Fermin Diaz seems to always be hooked up and once again he proved us right with today's largest fish a 62lb bluefin. We are hoping for better behaved fish tomorrow.
