Karen at the trap reports 55 fish came into the trap Monday. After a month of water flowing, the temps and flow finally getting the fishes attention. No ripe hens yet but that’s pretty typical of the early arrivals. 9 were green hens (not ready to spawn yet). A few at 22” 1 at 26” and a lot of smaller males. Creek flow holding fairly steady at around 5 on the gauge which is 213.9cfs. Water temps ranging from 35F in AM to 45F later, depending on the day. There’s more fish activity with warmer water temps in the low to mid 40’s. Afternoons usually provide for better viewing opportunities, of course that all depends on the water temps for that day. A few were finally jumping at the weir. Should just get better now.
