Channel Islands Sportfishing Fish Count for: June 8, 2019

Channel Islands Sportfishing

Report Date:

https://www.channelislandssportfishing.com

Today’s Fish Count: 11 Boats and 247 Anglers.

1,877 Rockfish, 777 Whitefish, 21 Lingcod, 8 Sculpin, 7 Sheephead, 3 Sole, 2 Halibut, 10 Barracuda, 7 Yellowtail, 10 White Seabass, and 124 Calico Bass.

Conditions at the Channel Islands continue to improve on a daily basis. The water is warming finally hitting 60 degrees, and it has cleared up a lot too. Winds have been mellow and at least for today, the sun was out. Catching fish has not been a problem for any of the boats. Whitefish and other bottom species have been filling the bags, but there have been flashes of top water fish as well. Calico’s, Barracuda and White Seabass seem to be on the rise, with Yellowtail in the mix too.
