Some chunked bass have been coming out of El Capitan this week. Bass are starting to go a little deeper to that secondary spot. Carolina rigs are the thing to use this time of year. Plus deep crank baits and drop shot. The bluegill bit is still really good. Crappie is slowing down somewhat, but they are still biting. The crappie are being caught are nice sized. Lots of sunfish are being caught as well.

Bass are top water in the morning, then 10-20 feet deep the rest of the day. Drop shot, Texas rig and whacky are the way to go. Anglers are averaging about 4-5 bass each. The bluegill bite is still wide open. The crappie bite is slowing down some because of the rise in water temperature. Big catfish being marked and caught in the Chocolate Arm.
