Today’s Fish Count: 10 Boats and 231 Anglers.

214 White Seabass, 105 Yellowtail, 71 Calico Bass, 8 Barracuda, 17 Perch, 1 Halibut, 68 Sheephead, 19 Sculpin, 6 Lingcod, 916 Whitefish, and 1,208 Rockfish.

The outer islands have been steady all month, for White Seabass and Yellowtail, but today was special. The morning bite was slow, but apparently the Seabass bit in the afternoon, and boats made the run to catch what they could before it was over. The Ranger 85 got the best of them catching limits for a two day trip. One heck of a way to cap off a great spring, and on its last trip before leaving to San Diego. Locally, the bite was tough on game fish but luckily the Calico’s and Whitefish have been a lot of fun in the shallows.
