Hello everyone;

Not much to report today, as today was a travel day.  We made a short stop for some Red rock cod and Ling Cod.  After a short stop, it was moving north once again.  We were trying to get to the Bluefin grounds.  Shortly after lunch, a spot of fish was among us.  The trolling rods went off, it was game on.

But to our surprise it was not the Bluefin we were looking for.  It was 10 to 15 pound Bonita on the prowl.  It was off again, moving north.  Around 15:00 hours, Tommie spotted a bird school, it was Bluefin.

So if you every fished for Bluefin tuna before, then you know, that they can be all show and no go.  We went through this for the rest of the day, school after school, after school.  We did manage to tag a few, and one Yellowfin tuna.  Very frustrating, but that’s fishing.

Once the sun set, it was time for dinner, as we look to find the biting school of Bluefin tuna tomorrow.  So until then wish us luck.  Team R/p

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
