Winter Break Lake Hours: We are open DAILY on the entire lake from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between December 20th and January 5th. The lake will be closed on Christmas Day, but fishing from the campground shoreline is available.
Looking for something to do tomorrow? It's FREE boat launch Tuesday! Boat launches will be free on both December 24th and 31st.
Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 lbs. of trout the week of December 9th, we received 200 lbs. from DFW this past week and we receive 2,000 lbs. this week from Wrights Rainbows! Just in time for the holidays!
If you are missing summertime night fishing, mark your calendars for this Saturday, New Moon Fishing on December 28th. The lake will be open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Full size lanterns required after 5:00 p.m.
What's the catch? Fisherman have reported catching catfish in Half Moon Cove. They are biting on garlic nightcrawlers and mackerel. Trout have been pulled from the northeast part of the lake and Eagle Point shoreline. Fishermen are using a HookUp baits and nightcrawlers/powerbait to reel them in.
Time to renew your California State Fishing License! Your 2019 license will expire on December 31, 2019. The cost is $51.02 for the 2020 calendar year and can be renewed online by clicking HERE. We do not sell the state fishing license at Lake Jennings, but we do require that you have one with you as well as our daily fishing permit while fishing at the lake.
Conditions: The water temperature is currently 62 degrees. It's going to be a cooler week with some light showers in the forecast. Should clear up by next weekend in time for New Moon Fishing. Helix Water District has completed filling the lake for the season. The shorelines have changed, so please be aware.
