The weather continues to be cool in the mornings and sunny in the afternoon. The lake has been hitting for the past few weeks. Several have been reported as large as 20” both small and largemouth. One young angler broke the bass steak by catching a 2 lb. catfish on a garlic night crawler in Harvey’s Cove.

The weather has been a little more favorable, but the fish have been a bit elusive. The lake has turned over, so the entire lake is well oxygenated and the temperature is sitting in the high 50’s. Bass have been unseasonably active. The trout and catfish have been slow. Bass are biting on drop shots and crank baits. Garlic worms and working for catfish and tout when you can find them. ......
