Water Conditions: Good
Flows are at 152 cfs as of 1/15
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good
Really nothing new to add outside of the BWO hatches should start picking up towards the end of the month. The fishing has been good on the Lower Owens now that the flows have dropped. Like everywhere else, this time of year midges are the primary hatch going but the mayflies are coming off, not heavy but the fish are definitely paying attention. Try Pheasant Tail and Hare's Ear in different styles. Mornings have been more productive but the afternoons are getting better with the mayflies coming off mid afternoon. As far as where to fish the rule of thumb is, the colder the night before the further upstream you start fishing.
DRIES: Large dry with #22-26 midge emergers and adults
NYMPH: Pheasant Tail #14-22 | Hares Ear #16-22 | Zebra Midge #18-22
