Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good
The spawning Cutthroats and Rainbows are still scattered throughout the system but soon to be back in the lake. There are fish feeding on the surface but most of them are the little guys. The bigger fish and migratory planters tend to hold in the deeper holes and attractor patterns such as Prince nymphs, San Juan worms and egg patterns are working best.
WARNING! The mosquitos are already out and the dreaded early season slime weed "migration" is on so the further downstream from the Hot Creek confluences the worse it gets.
