Quality Bluefin Bite

Hello everyone;  Well today was a decent day of Bluefin tuna fishing, with quality being the game today.  We had Bluefin up to 198 pound, just shy of the 200 pound mark.  We had a long steady drift today, and we didn’t move the boat until 19:00 hour (7:00 pm).  As soon as Jeff was thinking about moving, we hook another Bluefin.  So the name of the game was sit and wait it out.

Weather today was a bit confusing, since it was 20 plus knots the day before.  The seas was not stable.  We had overcast skies, and a bit of a chill in the air.

Most of the Bluefin were in the 70 to 80 pound range, with a handful between 110 to 120 pound category, and just a couple of 40 to 50 pound fish.  It’s dark and we just landed another one on the kite, so we will give it until 21:30 hours, before calling it a trip.

We will arrive to Fisherman’s landing at 06:30 hour in the morning.  So until fingers and keyboard meet again, wish us luck.  Team R/p

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
