Report Date:
http://www.mountainhardwareandsports.comThe Truckee River is fishing great right now. The best time to see hatches is in the mornings and evenings. In the mornings, anglers should be nymphing with pale morning duns, caddis, and various streamers. If anglers are streamer fishing, try using a light sink tip. In the evening, anglers have been seeing good dry fly activity. Some flies to try in the evening are caddis, pmd, and yellow sallies. Anglers fishing the upper Truckee river can expect clear, consistent flows, but anything in the lower river is big water.
