The Truckee River currently has great flows with good water temperatures. Fish are holding in the faster water and deeper pools. The flows increase significantly towards state line Nevada so anything lower river is big water. In the evening, anglers have been seeing good dry fly activity. Some flies to try in the evening are multiple species of caddis, pale morning duns, yellow stones, midges, and crayfish. Anglers will also notice at this time green drakes starting to disappear and flavilineas starting to emerge.
