The crowds have died down a bit since the 4th of July with less boats on the water. The bite is still super solid, however bass are bing caught in a little deeper water. The bluegill and crappie are still excellent with worms and crickets. Catfish biting deep with sinker bait.

The recent rains here at El Capitan, made for a great weekend of fishing. The crappie bite is on! The Bluegill bite is still great and the bass bite has improved. Lots of shad. The bass re biting on flukes and jerk baits. ......
