Catfish Bite Has Remained Consistent

The catfish bite has remained consistent with many reports of fish being caught on shrimp. Popular spots include the west side of Lake 3 at the point and the south shore of Lake 2. This cat was caught out of Lake 3 on shrimp. The bass have been biting on various soft plastics such as senkos, fat ikas, and flukes. Popular spots include the east shore of Lake 1 and the southeast corner of Lake 5. Our next scheduled stock will take place on Monday, August 10. Lakes 2 and 4 were most recently stocked on 7/27/20 with 500 pounds of catfish each.

Join us August 13, 2020 at 5 PM for our fifth night fishing event of the season. Annual Parking/Fishing passes are not valid. No California State License is needed, just a Santee Lakes daily permit. Lakes 1 through 4 only. 5 PM to 11:30 PM. A lantern and/or headlight is required, radios will not be permitted, and please remember to pick up your trash. Night fishing will occur the second and fourth Thursday of August.
