Homan and I got a chance to fish the Pacific Islander out of Channel Island Sportfishing Center in Oxnard with Captain Paul Munowitch for a 8am to 4 pm run to Anacapa Island. Conditions were stellar for the run across the channel and before long we were wetting our lines in the waters off on beautiful Anacapa Island. We spend the day hauling up nice bankies, barbers and other assorted rockfish, an nice way to spend the day on the water. When it was time to head home we had put a limit of nice rockfish on the boat for the 13 anglers aboard. The Pacific Islander is running the daily 8 am to 4 pm trip out of Channel Island Sportfishing Center and is also available for overnight charters. Check their website at pacificislander.us or give the guys at the landing a call at 1-805-382-1612 for reservations or any other information. Thanks again to Captain Paul and his excellent crew for another awesome day on the water.
