EAST WALKER RIVER
The river is flowing at about 69 cfs today, the fishing down there has still been pretty good. Most of the action we’re hearing about is with nymphs but there has been a couple good dry fly reports later in the evenings. The section below the bridge seems to be the most productive lately though we have been getting good reports from both the Miracle Mile section and the Rosachi in Nevada. Patterns to try include: perdigon nymphs, radiation baetis, flashback emerger, san juan worm, squirmy wormy, WD-40, E/C caddis, elk hair caddis, stimulator, chubby Chernobyl, madam x, dark lord.
SCEIRINE RANCH
The ranch is still kicking out some very nice fish as well, lots of fish in the 14 to 18 inch range lately, again, most of the fish are being caught on nymphs but there are some good dry and dry/dropper evenings some days. We’ve also had some fish being caught with streamers down there like dead drift crayfish, zuddlers and moal leeches.
HUNEWILL POND
We didn’t have any clients on the pond this week, we’ll let you know when we get some reports from out there.
BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR
Bridgeport has been one of the hot spots lately, lots of nice browns and rainbows being caught out there, and even still a few big perch. Trolling has been the best method lately with speedy shiners, thomas bouyants, Rapalas and crawlers all doing well. Bait fishing both from boats and shore has been decent as well with pinched crawlers, inflated crawlers, power bait and mice tails. It’s also nice to hear about all those browns being caught and released on the reservoir lately, this should make for some really nice fish next year!
KIRMAN LAKE
We didn’t hear anything from Kirman this week, we’ll let you know when we get some news.
TWIN LAKES
The Twins are still producing some good fish, not huge numbers lately but good quality fish up to around 6 pounds. Lure anglers are using Rapalas, needlefish and Kastmasters and bait anglers are going with mice tails, power bait and crawlers. There’s still some good fish being caught with flies as well like wooly buggers and matukas.
WEST WALKER RIVER
We didn’t hear much from the West this week, I’d imagine though that if you get up there and work those small pockets like we talked about last week you should be able to pull some fish, work some small spinners like Panther Martins in the holes or drift your bait or flies through the holes and small pockets where the fish are likely to be hiding and you should have some success.
VIRGINIA LAKES
Most of the news we’ve heard from the Virginias has been that during the day the fishing is pretty tough but later in the afternoon and evenings it really livens up. Lots of nice brookies being caught up there as well as a few nice rainbows. Mini jigs are doing well, also Thomas bouyants and kastmasters. There’s been a few fish caught on pinched crawlers and mice tails too. Fly anglers are using soft hackles, seal buggers and mini leeches.

RANDOM INFORMATION:
The leaves are falling as are the temperatures. We’ve had some mornings down into the teens this week, not really any storms coming through yet but that will likely change. Our smoke situation is still pretty good, just a little bit of the stuff here and there but we’ve overall been very lucky with nice clear air.
