Boca Reservoir is not iced over yet, so shore angling is still possible. There is no longer any boat access. Shore anglers can fish off the dam, but everywhere else is pretty much no longer fishable. Expect ice on the shorelines. Boca is currently at 13% capacity.

Donner Lake is fishing okay for those who know where the Mackinaw Trout are located. Besides the Mackinaw, there aren’t many other species of fish biting at Donner Lake right now. The macks are biting around 80-90 feet of water. Anglers are jigging or trolling with quikfish, cut plugs, and big sierra spoons. Donner Lake is currently at 59% capacity. ......
