The North Fork has been fair to slow, a few fish have been caught this week though. It’ll bump up the end of this week but will hopefully remain fishable through the weekend, and should be back on the drop by Sunday. The hatchery run is over for the most part and the few hatchery fish left are in rough shape, but there are some wild fish coming in (catch and release only for wilds).
The mainstem Nehalem is just getting in good condition, and the rains predicted for the end of this week might take it back out of shape; at least on the lower end. The upper basin may fish. Anglers targeting this basin are going to want to keep a close eye on conditions this week. There are no hatchery releases in the main stem, but when it’s in shape there should be some decent catch-and-release fishing for wild steelhead.
