http://www.shogunsportfishing.comWe managed to jig a few scoops of live squid at anchor that produced a couple of 20# class yellowtail. The halibut then began to respond and 8 halibut hit the deck. Barracuda and bonito kept the surface anglers busy. After the halibut bite slowed, Capt Norm pulled anchor and put us into several successful drifts targeting the halibut. A total of 19 flatties up to 36# and 5 yellowtail from 17-25# made for a great morning of inshore fishing. A few hours spent looking for kelps and albacore failed to produce anything today. Next weekend will find the Shogun fishing San Clemente Island with the Catchy Tackle group. An 8 day to Alijos Rocks and the summer season are right behind that.
