There has been decent activity at South Twin. The lake is scheduled to be stocked with 200 trophy fish in the first week of May, the fishing should be really hot after that. North Twin lake is still inaccessible. In the meantime, fish have been sitting fairly deep. It can be a bit hard to get down to them but it’s doable with an indicator rig. Balanced leeches will definitely be a good bet. Rig on of those up with a small midge or chironomid pattern and you should be seeing some fish. Stripping leeches or wooly buggers is a good option, but if the fish are sitting deep it may be harder to get down to them. There are some cooler rainy days in the forecast. Don’t let that stop you, fishing is only going to get better and better out there.
