Fall river fishing is excellent. The river was recently stocked with 1000 trophy fish. Dry fly action is manly on pale morning duns and blue winged olives. Caddis are also starting to become more prominent. Never ever forget your midges when you head to the Fall River. We like to fish midges in the surface film when we can’t see what the fish are keying into. For nymphs, stick to small midge and mayfly patterns. Try using a larger beaded mayfly or caddis pattern to help your smaller nymphs sink. Stocked fish love streamers. White and olive are usually my go to streamer colors out there. The newly stocked fish may take a second to spread out, but it’s best to find a secluded spot on the river anyways. Nobody loves when there are 12 anglers stacked up at the same spot. Always remain courteous to your fellow anglers and give them the space that you would want. Get out to the Fall and land some big trophy redsides.
