This is the first time that I have taken a trip aboard the Speed Twin at Captain Hook's in Oxnard. I can't believe the size of this vessel. It is designed to handle a big crowd just like our family outing trip. I brought three of my grand kids and they had a ball. Fishing guys brought their wives and kids. The boat is a very kid friendly and safe. The sides are wide so walking around the boat is a cinch. Captain Steve Earwood has all the bells & whistles for finding the fish. He brought us to some spots fishing for Calico Bass, Rockfish, Sheephead and Barracuda at the island. Unlucky angler Steven Jacobson hooked a Yellowtail but lost it in the kelp. Lucky me I got the jackpot on my Barracuda. Anytime you're thinking of soaking a line or taking the family fishing, keep the Speed Twin in mind. Jeff Grodin, Jeff Bundy and Patrick O'Brian are a superb, hardworking crew. My compliments to Silia Earwood, the Iron Chef. She cooks awesome breakfast and out of this world burgers. We had a totally awesome charter aboard the Speed Twin.
