A scouting day on the pond! Water continues to have heavy particulates in the column…everywhere. But didn’t hamper trolling. Check for weeds though. We covered from the south to Pelican Pt. (Not advised if you don’t know the channel & submerged rock piles). Pretty solid surface temps in the 66F’s showing this morning. The spring gyre is showing 59/60F. We still have a few sludge streams in the middle but not too bad. Visually looking down…good luck seeing bottom at 4ft. Orange trolling flies on toplines & gold/red Thomas buoyant at 12-14ft got the bigger fish on a glass surface pond today. USFS campgrounds remain closed at this time. Spalding is open.
