Donner Lake is currently releasing water around 60 CFS. The shore bite has slowed here and stocking has not occurred since 4th of July, but anglers can still find some decent size fish. Shore anglers are succesful off the boat ramp with powerbait, worms, or small lures. The Kokanee bite has also slowed a bit, but anglers are still catching Kokanee around 10-12 inches here. And macks are starting to school more together because they should be spawning soon. Most anglers are trying for the larger macks and trout in the deeper parts of the lake with kwikfish, large rapalas, and lyman lures.
