Fishing at the Twin Lakes has been great over the past week. The weather this week is the opposite of last week, warmer to start and wet and cool later on. You can expect the fish to be very active this week, they’ll be feasting on the last of the summer bugs. Callibaetis are the main surface fly, size 16 - 18 should do the trick. Terrestrials aren’t super productive unless you’re dropping a nymph. Subsurface has been the go-to at the Twin Lakes, leeches in particular, either under an indicator or stripped. Streamer patterns are also putting in work, mainly the small black, olive, and white ones. Chironomids, callibaetis, and dark assassins are also killers, especially when paired with a balanced leech. Thanks to everyone for reading the fishing reports this summer!
