Stayed late last night and topped off the trip with 7 fish over 100, 2 over 200.
Tackle recommendations for upcoming trips:
Bait set ups 25-50# We suggest 65# spectra backing to a 20-30 yard section of monofilament with a matching fluorocarbon leader of 25-50#
Hook size: #1-#4 circle or J hooks to match the smaller sardine we have had
A heavy outfit for night-time jigs 80-130+#
Knife Jigs, Flat Falls from 250-500g with 150-300# leaders
We were very ill prepared yesterday, only 4 anglers out of 30 had heavy set ups for night-time fishing, also we struggled in the flyline bait department as well. Just another day in Newport.
