Crappie have been a good bet at Buena Vista Lakes, but the bite has been hit or miss. Anglers used Trout on Baits and small live minnows near submerged cover for bites. Bass anglers reported a fair bite on finesse plastics, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures. Many of the bass are still holding in the reeds and cattails, but there were more reports of bass holding in other areas around the lake. Creature baits, Senkos, and drop shot have all been good for a few bites. Topwater and spinnerbaits also scored some good quality bass when fished near cover. Catfish anglers reported a fair bite using nightcrawlers, chicken liver and dip bait.
