Stormy Night

We arrived back in San Diego yesterday morning after some very good action on school yellowfin tuna.  The trip was scheduled to be a 2.5 day, but after a close look at the forecast and consultation with our charter master, we elected to shorten the trip by a day in order to avoid the worst of the bad weather, while still  having a shot at good fishing.

We found very nice weather, and very good action on 12-20# yellowfin with some skipjack and smaller yellowtail thrown into the mix.  The tuna were eager and even bit the fly!  Mother Nature was very kind to us and let us enjoy calm conditions the entire day, although soon after dinner she showed her mettle with pouring rain and up to 30 knots of wind.  Luckily the heavy wind was short lived as the front passed and we just had some bucking and jerking on the way home.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 223-1627 to get in on the action.
