Report Date:
http://www.theflyshop.com/streamreport.htmThe snow is all gone and the weather is beautiful on Hat Creek. Fish are still spread throughout the creek. Early mornings will see a midge hatch happening, you can fish smaller Zebra Midges under an indicator, or dry dropper. At mid day look for Blue Wing Olives to come off, fish will take the emergers and adults. #18 - 20 Adams are working well, fish a black or olive #18 S&M, Two Bit Hooker, or a Sweet Pea. Anything can happen when it begins to warm up, however, so be prepared with other Mayfly and Caddis nymphs and dries. The The Powerhouse Riffle will begin to see some larger fish stacking in, don't forget to use a Rubberlegs as this section regularly has Salmonfly larvae moving around in it.
Hot Flies: TB Drowned Rusty Spinner, Rubberlegs, Sweet Pea Jigged Baetis, Pheasant Tails, Mercer's Missing Link, and Green Drakes
