The lake has thawed out and the fishing has been slow. A few anglers have been catching some brookies and rainbow with salmon eggs off the dam. Reminder, the lake has a blue green algae alert on it. Right now it is at the warning stage.

The Carson City Host Lions Club will be hosting the Annual Kids’ Fishing Day at Baily Pond in Fuji Park on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and provides a good opportunity to introduce kids under the age of 12 to fishing and conservation.
