https://www.docksidedepoebay.comHowdy y'all, it's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we went on a fishing and crabbing trip with 10 people. When we left the harbor, we decided to head northwest to lay our crab pots. After traveling for about 8 minutes, we dropped our pots. After that, it took 2 minutes to get to our first fishing spot. On our first drift, we caught 75% of our rockfish limit. In about 1 hour, we caught all of our rockfish. We then proceeded to Lingcod fish for 2 hours before getting our pots. After crabbing, we wrapped up our trip and headed back to the harbor. It was a beautiful day today and everyone walked away with their limits of rockfish.

The Sunrise set out in search of whales today and found their mark! This was an indiviudal traveling alone which is not uncommon among the Gray Whale species. Generally preferring a solitary life, you will usually see them one at a time or traveling in small groups during migration or feeding.
