We have been hearing good reports from The Crooked River. The flows are currently at 110 cfs. That is a pretty low flow and fishing efforts should be focused on deeper pools and pockets you can find. The flows will likely remain around here for the rest of summer as the reservoir is sitting at 29% of its capacity. Caddis and PMD’s have been around and we have been hearing fair reports on dry flies. Nymphing remains the most consistent technique and small CJ’s, two bits, tailwater tinies, scuds, and rainbow warriors are some of our favorites out there. Swinging soft hackles before, during, and after a hatch can also be effective. Despite the low flows the crooked continues to fish well so get out there and get after some fish!
