The Lower Deschutes is fishing well. Salmon Flies are finished up now and have given way to excellent caddis hatches. On any given day you may see a variety of caddis but the majority we have been seeing are tan/olive and small (18-20) black. Nymphing is still hot and rainbow warriors, two-bits, cj’s, and nitro caddis have all been producing fish. Swinging sculpin streamers and soft hackles has also been productive. The river is in good shape and the fish are active so get out there and get after them!
