We're back to inconsistent again after a few days of decent fishing. The fish seem to be moving in shallower and deeper depending on the time of day. I've been starting in shallower (33ft) and moving out deeper as the morning progresses (37-38ft). The fish have been down within a foot of the bottom, and sometimes as high as 4-6ft off the bottom so you'll have to experiment as the day goes on because I haven't found much in the way of a consistent formula. Hatches haven't been great, some midges but not wide open. Haven't been seeing much in the way of callibaetis but I've been seeing plenty of damsels and I'm starting to get grabs on the nymph when I've been hanging it up high under the indicator. The fleet found me over in Christmas bay unfortunately so I've been out scouting around other places to go. There are still fish along Stormy and out in the middle of McGee near 40ft. There are also fish along Sandy on the East side, and up heading north towards Six Bays. I haven't been back in either Crooked or in Hilton for a while but I'll be out there for trips soon so I'll have some better information next week. Lots of Browns with the occasional Rainbow, and maybe a Cutthroat or two on most days.
