Water Conditions: Fair
Flows are at 80 cfs as of 8/15
Fishing conditions and Hatches: Poor-Fair
Flows had dropped down into the 70's but they're starting to inch back up. Water temperatures are still holding in the 60's until midday but then around noon it gets back into the 70's.
Midges and Tricos first thing followed by scattered caddis Also perch fry are beginning to get flushed out of the lake. . In an attempt to be a glass half full kind of guy the one positive about the low flow levels, if nighttime air temperatures get down into the 40's the water temperatures downstream from the reservoir will be cooler in the morning even on hot days. I haven't heard anything new about the evenings so I'll just leave up what I have. Also, lots of midges and a good caddis hatch (#16s) from 7 until dark. Caddis are probably the most consistent, try skating an Elk Hair Caddis or fish Caddis Crawlers through the riffles. Scuds and Damsel nymphs in the slow water.
